We invite you to a special edition of the ZOZNAMKA s dobrovoľníctvom series, this time designed for foreigners living, working, studying or spending time in Bratislava and its surroundings. See you on August, 13th at 5 PM in Summer Reading Garden of Municipality Library (entrance at Michalska 26).
The event will be held in English and is dedicated to everyone interested in volunteering who would like to get involved in local activities but is still unsure about the available opportunities or where to start.
Together we will explore: what types of volunteering are available in Bratislava, how to choose an activity based on your interests and availability, what to expect from volunteering in practice, how to prepare for your first volunteering experience, and how to become part of local communities through helping others.
The discussion will feature non-Slovak volunteers from various volunteering programmes including European Solidarity Corps, who will share their personal experiences of volunteering in Slovakia and how they experienced their involvement in local activities. The event will be moderated and open to the broader international community.
The library space where the event takes place also offers open-air film screenings with English subtitles during the summer season. It is an ideal opportunity to enjoy cultural programming and spend a pleasant time with both the international community and people from Slovakia.
